95 Sacks of Drink Bottles Transported from Kalibata Channel

PPSU officer along with Cleanliness Management Unit (UPK) for Pancoran Sub-district Cleanliness Water Management Agency are cleaning a water channel on Jalan Kalibata Timur VI and connecting channel on Jalan Kalibata Timur, South Jakarta.

We successfully pick up 95 sacks of drink bottles and dredge 10 cubic meters of mud from the channel near the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP)

Both channels that located in Kalibata Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district is cleaned because of garbage and mud. When rain pours, the water often overflows and and inundate citizen residential in RW 01 and 02.

Kalibata Urban Village Head, Denny Isnandar disclosed cleaning along Jalan Kalibata Timur I has been ongoing since three days until now.

"We successfully pick up 95 sacks of drink bottles and dredge 10 cubic meters of mud from the channel near the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP)," he told, Friday (5/27).

He furthered similar condition is also spotted in another channel as wide as two meters with three meters deep. Until now, it has never been cleaned.

"I've reported this matter to South Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept to send the technicians, manual and machine officers," he said.
